In the post financial crisis world they've been kicking the can down the road and deleveraging takes time. You just could not sweep away in the early Obama years 30+ years of a credit induced spending binge where American's got soft and entitled with the rest of the world hungry and eager to catch up. Do you realize the American consumer has already deleveraged back to his debt ratios of almost 15 years ago according to some reports lately plus our large corporations are in better shape now than ever? The whole government out of control situation I blame on the housing/credit/military industrial complex/oil cartel expansion during the Bush years from federal to local levels going el nutso during 2003-06..
