I am blessed with no regrets I cannot live with, but I have too many that are failures to acknowledge to others when they have moved me or made a difference in my life.

My most recent regret: Walking down the boardwalk in Rohoboth Delaware, I saw two young men in wheel chairs. They were clean cut and seemed unaware of the fact that neither had legs and one had only one arm. Obviously, they were soldiers who made a sacrifice that people like me can hardly fathom.

I could not find the words, nor the courage, to approach them.

When it was too late, I realized that all I had to do was look them in the eye and say "Thank you."

And I failed.

But they did not fail me.
