"I'm pretty sure you don't really understand what the tea party is about."

I don't think you meant it this way but that statement suggests I'm an uninformed, media "videot" and that's not the case. I've watched the debates and listened to the opinions of many people who align themselves with the Tea Party. IMO <key part of this equation = my opinion) there have been many times where I've listened and thought - this person just sounded unrefined, reactionary and boorish. I can't cite specific examples off the top of my head but I can say I've seen it happen during softball interviews - I.e. - not media spin clips.

It is time for smaller, less intrusive Govt.

The republicans have been as irresponsible with spending as democrats at times.

The distinction between the 2 parties has become blurred. It really only comes down to which lobbyists each party sells OUR soul to and it sickens me.

I don't know if you and I have common ground here or not. If not - that's ok. My point goes back to my last post and several months prior.

1) We need vision and unity within the party - The Republican Party

2) We need the candidate to be refined, dignified and logical so that he/she can convey and then implement that vision.

3) We need hope, confidence and pride to be restored in this country. Times are tough and people are scared.

4) We NEEDED Obama accomplish the things mentioned above - he's failed.

The next President needs to be Reaganesque in his/her ability to lead by creating unity, instilling hope, implementing a vision and being almost a spiritual leader (like Reagan was). The person to fill this role is going to have to be a Class A salesman because economic recovery is going to take time. It's very early but at the moment I don't see a Republican or Tea Party member that has the "it" factor "I" think it will take to lead the nation out of this mess.

My concern is that could very well mean "The Next President" is the current one.
