Well, without going into detail, your description of the next president is pretty much what mine is. But I am definitely tea party material.
I thought Perry might be the guy. But he turns out to be a liberal in tea clothing. And he can't debate for shit. I think that Bachman could have potential if she could keep her religious leanings out of it. But I don't think she can. And I think she would end up being divisive. And often times, she would be intentionally divisive. The equivalent of anti-obama. (and not in a good way). I think Romney is essentially an old guard republican who would essentially be more of the same thing we've had the past 40 years. Which gives him an edge since we, as a people, fear change.
I believe the guy that has the "it" factor is Herman Cain. He is a business man. He has had to deal with the realities of the real world. Something that our political elite have avoided most of their life. And in the case of Obama, he's avoided all of his life.
And I think that Cain can deliver the message in a way that doesn't totally alienate the opposition (or at least the center).
I will vote for any republican who is nominated to run for the Presidency. I simply do not believe we can have someone worse than Obama. So if it ended up being a McCain like candidate, I'd hold my nose when I voted, but I'd do it.
If obama gets a second term, we would no longer be living in a country that we would recognize as our own. |
