They are a great example of how capitalism works. Yes, they have more far reaching socialist programs than we do, but they have managed to keep that in check and balance that out with a thriving private sector. Greece is the other end of the spectrum.

Did you mean Germany embodies the success of socialism and not capitalism? They have indeed blended the two economic systems very well, and I have always thought is socialism. Maybe I am way off if that is not so.
