I personally love the nuclear option. Congress has become too complex with all these procedural votes. Let's give everything an up or down vote and move on. This voting to vote, so that later you can vote to vote to vote, is just plain silly.

The GOP should not have threatened to use the nuclear option back then. They should have just done it. I'm actually proud of Reid for finally showing some balls. As my Dad used to say, "Don't threaten to do something. Just do it. Then they'll know you aren't to be trifled with." He used to also say, "If you are ever blackmailed for any reason, always call their bluff. The pain if they follow through with their threats will always be less than the pain that will come by prolonging the day of reckoning."

Take that to the bank.
