Exactly. Look at what prohibition did. It spawned organized crime. Pot can be easily grown, is not particularly dangerous (rat and I are still alive-lol) and would pretty much put most of the dangerous drug dealers out of business.

People would grow it in their backyard and sell to their friends. An if you can get pot free people will not take as much of the other dangerous drugs like meth or crack.

Also, when I was smoking pot in college most of my friends did not take a lot of other drugs. Very few, and most did not even drink. I almost never bought any alcohol.We pretty much just smoked pot and listened to music. I ate ice cream-lol.

And when we graduated we just stopped smoking it. Pot gets boring as it makes you tired and sleepy.

And a bad thing that happened was that as we obtained serious jobs, like teachers, lawyers etc, most stopped smoking pot and started drinking instead as that was legal.
