In 2004 Robert Shiller (economics professor at Yale and according to Susskind in line for a nobel prize, of the famous (case-shiller real estate index) tried to tell the top CEO's in a big meeting that the real estate market was in a monster bubble. The quote you offer after this line is absolutely accurate, the sentence above, however, is classic Suskind. Touts his sources more than a little. Peter Orzag is touted as near genius student at Princeton and Shiller as a near Nobel Prize winner. No doubt, whatsoever, as you read the book, who talked with Suskind and who did not.
