I read Jobs left 4 years of new products in Apple's pipeline ... not surprising ... that company was his life.

Also read he wrote a biography because:

"I wanted my kids to know me," .... "I wasn't always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did."

Kind of sad. But lots of people, especially men, put things before their families.

The outpouring of emotion by people who didn't know him seems a little strange to me. He was a product development visionary .... not some kind of guru or fount of wisdom.
