Thousands!!! Plus, the organizers completing the Alinsky's Institute, Industrial Areas Foundation, Chicago, were trained to go out and train other organizers. In Illinois, annually, 600 individuals were introduced to the tactics of organizing who then went out and trained others in the principles. I was trained in Chicago in the early 70's almost 40 years ago. You can do the calculation of approximately how many have been trained since the 70's.

It is far better if the parties work to resolve problems. But, if one side refuses, like the Republican's (Tea Party), then all hell can break loose. When this happens both sides lose. That is the fear that I have with the polarization between the two parties and where the parties fail to resolve their differences in amenable manner.
