Someone showed graphs that countries with high taxes do better than other countries. Supplyside economics was always a con job to make the rich richer and I do not think is taught as a viable economic system. Many economists call it tinkle down economics.

Yes, raise taxes in a progressive manner and put it into infrastructure. High progressive taxes works well because it redistributes the money to the middle class who earn it by working to keep society in good shape. People will not say that because it is redistribution of wealth. But the redistribution is good for both the tribe and the individual.

It is the same as a small tribe making sure a big kill of meat is distributed fairly among the tribe members so they have the strength to make it through the winter and allows the tribe to make repairs like new tools and sheltor, etc.
