Absolutely correct. And I have no obligation to refrain from criticising it. So what is your point?
My point is that there is a difference between constructive criticism and name-calling/innuendo. The vast majority of your posts regarding this particular writer are the latter.
Is your intent to help other investors learn from your experiences, or just to "cyber-punish" someone that you used to hold in high esteem?
If its to help other investors, then it would be nice if you would provide specific information that others can evaluate for themselves and learn from.
You've mentioned that you have more respect for other pundits/analysts...can you share who they are? Jim Cramer?
In context, most people following the greater story, know precisely what I mean. You did not know, nor did you know the story, hence you beleive it is innuendo or mere name calling. From your point of view, I can see how you might arrive at such a conclusion. In the context of discussion among a group of threadsters who have known each other, in some cases, a very long time, making something that looks like a catcall to you, is not exceptional. It is done daily, hourly, sometimes every minute in the context of that thread world. "We" know what we mean. If someone does not know, they can ask, and from time to time do ask. If they do not wish to ask, what is the problem? Your question leaves out the entire context. It is not a complete question.
Who do I respect currently for their honest and ethical approach to what they write? Who do I respect for the knowledge they demonstrably have behind their work? Who do I respect for the fluidness of the approach and the intellectual honesty they bring to their endeavor?
I like, as some examples:
Felix Zulauf Marc Faber Heinz Blaznik John Williams Some of the guys at SoGen Some of the guys at Nomura Jim Walker Quite a few folks on Silicon Investor David Roche Some of the guys at CLSA Some people who are not in the public arena
.........and others. and in no particular order. Why no order? because they are consistently at such a high standard and they don't publish on the same day at the same time. Though in the same week, its a lot of reading.
