The rich and powerful have been tweeking the laws of the US in their favor aggressively for 30 years now. MOst people have no idea what is going on behind closed dooes and congress is paid off to keep quiet. When legislators take money for campaigns they are expected do what people who gave them that money want them to do. They had better do it. The little guy only has the person with a conscience on their side.
