Their player uses the latest laser signal reading and digital information compression technologies. In comparison with the video CD, which can only record 250-line screens for up to 74 minutes, the DVD can record movies and sound for up to 135 minutes and can support 500-line screens. Panda's player also is compatible with MPEG II video compression technology. It supports high-quality video and stereo sound and can carry sound and subtitles in several languages. Panda is cooperating with several companies in Silicon valley and will begin mass production early next year.
