Yes, you must deposit $2,000 with NDB to set up an
account. However, once your account is set up, you
may withdraw the $2,000. In fact, if your account
balance dips below $2,000, no fees or account cancellation
policies occur. Just keep in mind that NDB's timeliness
is sub-par. If you are going to buy or sell over the
web station, make sure you know about how untimely
the trade is going to be. I find it much faster to
call a broker (more commission), provided someone
answers the phone. You should also ask NDB if they
make a market in CVIA. If they do not, then they will
have to call a third party and hope the market maker answer the
phone so your order can be filled. Believe me, this
happened to me before, and the trade took almost 10
minutes!
