[Are these guys geniuses or what?]

Quick! Call the Nobel prize committee! (Or was it the NoBell committee for items not compatible with the existing Bell system?)

They claim to have a new patent, which I haven't seen yet, but they still are missing the basic point that the DS0 equipment at the telco runs at 64 Kbps because of the Nyquist criteria, i.e., that if you have a 4 KHz wide signal, it has to be digitized at 8000 samples/second, or twice the rate of the analog signal. Since there are 8 bits/sample, the DS0 speed limit is 64 Kbps. Of course, you have real world constraints, like the analog bandwidth of phone circuits being closer to 3.4 KHz than 4 KHz, and the telcos' use of the least significant bit of each sample for their own purposes (which really gives 56 Kbps over a lot of T-1 trunks).

If you want to read some real interesting stuff though, check out the long-delayed SEC 10-K form at sec.gov .

These guys are really hedging their bets about everything. Here are some extracts from the 10-K about DWM:

"The Company also purports that it has developed technology that transmits information and data using different wave patterns, configurations, and timing in the electromagnetic spectrum... the commercial feasibility of the technology has not been demonstrated... There are risks that no commercially viable products will be developed from the technology... The rate of data transmission varies significantly depending on the communications medium used. When using plain old telephone system commonly known as "POTS" transmission rates will be slower... Some of the Company's technology is revolutionary in that it is based on unconventional technological theories."
