While your other claims ... eg. "Middleman" sums the (downside) issues up nicely. (tm Guru)... Have proved rather naive. LOL quite the content-free "insult" Mr. MM. So... Let's delve. "Obviously", I was naive and underestimated the impact of spinning off GloFo and going fab-lite. "Obviously"... Because, after all, look at the state of GloFo's 32nm process, and the effect it's having on AMD. Clearly, AMD would have ramped 32nm so much sooner had they not spun off GloFo, gone fab-lite, and put some extra distance between design and manufacturing (i.e. the "middleman"). Please, regale us with your expert diagnosis and why I was so wrong with my intentionally broad-spectrum metaphor. fpg
