For some reason, it's not bothering me....they knew the bill was DOA and that their individual votes wouldn't change things....they gambled on the side of keeping their jobs... zeta, I see your point. I didn't think of it this way. If their vote was because of what you say, then it was a smart vote. You would almost have many believe that they are willing to see what is for the overall good and vote accordingly instead of just party line vote. I hope the people settle this in 2012 and that Obama campaigns not only on this issue but also show the folks (Ross Perot style if need be complete with charts and graphs) that the economy was on the upswing until the Republicans came to power in the House in 2011. After all, don't the independents understand charts and graphs? If they do, then I would say why not use them during a fireside chat on TV for 1/2 hour?
