[WSTL action]

WSTL gets $14.8M break-up fee, gets its $5M loan to AMTX repaid, gets what i'll assume is a sweet deal with TXN for chips, gets all of AMTX's ADSL contracts (BCTel plus who-knows-what), saves 23M shares of its stock, AMTX is still removed from the competitive landscape, and the stock closes up only 4.6%? i don't get it.

WSTL is in better position now than it was prior to the AMTX merger announcement, the BT deal is looking good, and GTE still looks positive. back then it was trading in the 23-25 range. will we see a swift return?

here's a thought: COMS buys WSTL. the TXN/AMTX-WSTL/USRX/COMS-SIE team vs. the ALA-CSCO team vs. the AWRE-ADI-ASND team vs. ORCTF-Fujitsu.
