Perry says "Debates are not my strong suit" - I'd say Perry is over, unfortunately. I was hopeful for him.

Way too soon to say this, imo. Perry has $17 million in the bank. Remember the Hillary campaign in 08 - she started out as a terrible candidate. Complacent, wooden, squabbling & disorganized team, too lazy to scope out the caucuses thoroughly -- the Obama team completely stole the early caucuses. Once she realized her danger, she became a much better candidate and starting winning the white-working class vote. But it was too late for her to undo the damage. But if the Dem primaries had been arranged differently, she might have pulled it out.

Nobody has even voted yet. Romney doesn't have a great track record of actually connecting with Republican primary voters. He has improved as a candidate, but enough to overcome Romneycare, his record as a flip-flopper, and (let's face it) evangelical heartburn with Mormonism? Let's wait to count some votes.
