Maybe not at present but sometimes our bias can make as blind to what is happening. One should never under estimate the stupidity of governments. On my last visit there was much ado about the
Filipino maids and their rights. The articles were very slanted to support giving more rights to them and the maids were getting organized. There was no mention of the fact that 99.9% of Filipino women would jump at a chance to work in H.K. And escape the poverty of their homeland.

The ideas you have with the no-longer used warehouses into residential units are good ones and I wish you good luck with them. But 7000 HK is close to US $1,000 a sq ft compared to what I can buy here in Florida for less than a tenth of that. My rental returns are going to be much higher and so is my potential appreciation. Granted Florida is in the US and not freedom HK but living here is pretty darn good.:)
