Well, I do hope so, but it is very strange that he keeps quiet, at a time that he spend very substantial money in E. European countries to promote equality and democracy.

I personally I am very disappointed from the attitude of Mayor Bloomberg toward the demonstrators and the conduct of NYC police including the use of pepper spray on innocent demonstrators and the police mounted troops and scooters and the way they arrested people.

From what I know there was no court order to disperse the demonstrators, and if so Mayor Bloomberg is not a judge in any court of justice only a mayor, even if he is a successful one

I may disagree with the conduct of some demonstrators but all in all they were not violent and did not inflict damage to buildings or other assets as it was done in London recently or Athens.

The NYC police conduct is shameful and a disgrace and those that used excessive force should face congressional committee’s inquiry.
