EVTN came in 10th in the Wendy Schmidt Oil Cleanup contest, announced last week. The good news is they qualified for the top 10 out of 350 submittals. The bad news is they didn't win, as some investors had expected. The price is down 50% on moderate volume. The company has not yet addressed their loss. Some on Yahoo speculate that the conditions of the contest were not suited well for EVTN, since the primary focus was on surface oil. I do not know the details enough to comment. I assume the company has been around long enough to have known their strength/weakness and saw this as a good opportunity regardless...Hoping they saw this as a way to get better aquainted with larger companies having complementary technology. I assume the company will provide us with some perspective on the contest, and I keep in mind that their sales have exploded this year. For these reasons I have bought back all of the shares I sold on the news last week.
