Joey - Why would CPQ using the K6 be a mistake? (Other than pissing Intel off?). CPQ is going after the el cheapo market in a big way, and if they can get processors on the cheap by squeezing a good deal out of AMD, that's more money in their pockets. Would you not do the same if you were Eckhard Pfeiffer? (And in the process maybe get better deals out of Intel, as has already been rumored in the press - i.e. the articles saying Intel is already close to shipping 'February' price cuts on 233 mhz PII's...

PS - I can't see that the average consumer (or educated consumer) looking for a low ball PC would care very much whether an Intel chip is inside or not, they care about price. As long as the box works, that is...
