Nancy: Right now I'm looking at today's botched trading! <GG> But seriously, right now my "idea of the day" is a play on banks which will benefit most from the opening of Texas home equity lending. In case you didn't know, home equity lending has never been allowed in TX until now. There's an estimated $150B (that's billion!) in untapped equity to be lent against starting in January. I think the best plays on this are NationsBank (NYSE: NB) and Bank ONe (NYSE: ONE). NationsBank has already set up a call center to take applications and it has been absolutely overwhelmed. They are the two largest consumer lenders in Texas.
