Marshall,
Lots of information that I dug up.More than I can digest actually.
First,Skyline Multimedia Entertainment (SKYL or SKYLU) Do you want the good news or the bad news first.OK,the good news it sounds like a great stock to do serious field research on .The bad news, its coming to Woodfield which is pretty close to the Addison DANB.Here's the skinny from MF RAIN thread:"The project (patterned after Skylines XS New York VR Entertainment Center in Times Square) will be Known as XS Chicago.Plans call for a themed environment with futuristic graphics, animonic characters, specialty lighting and audio and video displays. The center will feature 6 or more distinct virtual environments, each showcasing the latest hardware and software offering guests both competative and exploratory experiences.
"Industry leading suppliers such as Virtuality INnc.,makers of the advanced 2000 series, will feature their most advanced systems at Skyline's new center. The facility may also house a flight simulator attraction similar to Skyline's hugely successful New york Skyride.
"The new facility will also feature a stste of the art Cyber Cafe where patrons can log-on to the internet and explore the www.At the same time they can enjoy lite food & beverages and browse in a themed retail area."
Jeez, they forgot the kitchen sink! The article says the NY XS is a few months from opening.I suggest you have some of your homie research assistants check this joint out as both potential threat and possible investment.Boy,this industry is starting to get crowded!
Second,I down-loaded the RAIN S-1 from Edgar (regarding the new offering) and it contained a few pearls such as revenues for DW from 7/25 to 8/25 were $2.2 million,RAIN bought out the right to the Rainforest Cafe trademark from the company the PTO claimed the Rainforest Cafe trademark could be 'confused with'.Very glad to hear that. Also 6 Cafes are scheduled for '98.Palisades and Taj scheduled 2Q of '97.(I thought originally Taj was to be early 1Q '97).Finally a few dodads regarding the offering: The S-1 refers to "an asumed sale price of $26.50 per share" for the 2.3 million shares. Also, the total number of shsres registered for the offering is 2,875,000 with a Proposed Maximum Aggregate Offering Price of $76,546,875.
Think I'll go stare at the power tools for a while.
Did you get in ATIS yet?
