These jobs were outsourced to maximize profit for American Corporations. Most corporations couldn't care less about the people who work for them. That is to say, workers are just tools to maximize profit for multinationals.

I remember a few years ago waiting in a hospital while x-rays on my wife's hip were being sent (scanned and emailed) to Australia to be read by a MD there because the price was right.

The solution you seek is not as simple as you may think.
