John, imo, CPQ is taking a big chance...Can AMD deliver (they can't so far it seems), Intel brand name might be bigger than Compaq's, quality of K6 chips, etc. True, Shiester Sanders probably sold his shareholders out by cutting this deal, but there are transaction/coordination costs by moving to a new supplier...As Michael Dell put it, "it just isn't worth it." joey
