Am I ever impressed with Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell. Governor McDonnell followed protocol in being in the Hampton/ Norfolk military area of Virginia as the Governor of Virginia when Obama made his ill-fated tour of Virginia. Governor McDonnell is a real Virginia Gentleman. I say ill-fated, as Obama's Democrat office holders figuratively ran from appearing with him according to the article. Yes there is a touch of humor in this--------the Democrats up for reelection avoided Obama-----including Obama's friend Tim Kaine. In case everyone doesn't know; Tim Kaine is running for USASenator to replace James Webb who will not run again in 2012 in Virginia. Of course ,Tim Kaine doesn't want to be seen with Obama now------Kaine's choice for POTUS has been a failure. If Tim Kaine believes he can run away from his association with Obama and Obama's failed Presidency he is wrong. Kaine and Obama were buddies and one may fairly presume close buddies. In this writer's opinions, Kaine did not become the Democrat National Committee Chairman for no reason. Obama said no on Kaine being the Democrat VP candidate but gave Kaine the plum of being the Democrat National Committee Chairman-------that plum has given Kaine recognition in the Democrat Party nationwide and has likely put him near the money sources for running for Senator. It is so transparent without Kaine and Obama intending transparency------------Kaine was the Democrat Governor of Virginia who went to Harvard, Obama was a Democrat who went to Harvard. LIght----bulb-----Obama needs Virginia electoral votes to win the 2008 election------Kaine is his connection. Apparently, Obama and Kaine made an alliance as Kaine was the 1st Governor to endorse Obama in the 2006-2008 Primary. Kaine was mentioned as a possible Vice President Candidate to run with Obama-------gee, Virginians thought we can get a Virginian in as VP. That was a lost leader to get people to vote for Obama. As a political observer, it wasn't hard to see the machinations of Obama and Kaine. Obama using Kaine to bring in Virginia . Somewhere along the way------Obama decided no on Hillary and no on Kaine. So enough for Virginians believing the rumors that Kaine would be Obama's running mate. Now we have the two of them avoiding each other in touring in Virginia---------deliberately, you betcha.
