You got your money in equities? If so, think again. I care about ordinary folks like you. You never want to be holding stocks at the beginning of a recession, Brumar, no matter how mild you think it's going to be. Most investors would rather just dump their stocks and wait to see how bad it gets. The market had a recession scare a few months ago and it sold off to the tune of 20%. Right now, most are reassured that the economy didn't fall off a cliff and expect that a recession has been averted. LOL. The Fed and the Administration are "out of bullets" to counteract the recession, and the federal budget deficit is going to soar due to unemployment compensation claims. If you thought political strife was bad, just wait. The Democrats will blame the Republicans for killing the Democratic bill to create jobs and the Republicans will blame the Democrats for wasteful spending and big government. In truth, both parties are equally guilty of excesses, but it was the Fed that made it all possible. The Fed is the drug dealer and the Republicrats are the drug addicts.
