I'm not an atheist or even an agnostic. I believe God is Dead, having pined away as a result of human activity in the world. Actually, I think Christianity represents a great metaphysical vision of the universe for those who can't handle the end. Christianity promises eternal happiness for those who lack courage to face death. I'm not looking to outlaw religion in any shape or form. I'm very tolerant or liberal in that regard. Tolerance meaning not a grudging acceptance of that which I hold to be fundamentally unacceptable; but a gracious acceptance of a point of view contrary to my own, since I may be wrong in my view. I know you might find this hard to believe, but I have tutored youngsters in Christianity in Catholic schools. I had to take Philosophy of Religion Comprehensives in Grad school and have read some of the great Saints of Catholicism, as well as Luther.
