I agree. Though I'll sit it out to get the tax break, if possible.

You're right about the gorillas. I'd hoped we could get more of the ride before being taken over but that wasn't to be.

I figure part of my payoff has been the education --- and part the friendships and camaraderie.

I have to smile at one phone call I got today. It was an Amati shareholder calling from London, saying she'd heard on the evening news that Amati had been taken out and she wondered if she had any say in the matter. I told her, no, it was an all-cash buyout and she'd be given the money whether she wanted it or not. I explained it was like some divorces and probably best to accept it and move on.

Not sure that was much comfort, but it reminded me how turning points often lead to something better.
