Agreed. We do need to bring manufacturing home to the US. However, China's growth is all paper. They are building ghost cities in the desert. Their growth is a classical case of government misallocation of capital. True free markets are expert at allocating capital to maximize growth over the long term. Any government can't grow the economy in the short term through massive spending. But that is simply not sustainable. China is doing the short term thing. The US is doing the short term thing. We need to get out of that mode and go into the long term thing. Let's get back to properly regulated free markets and get the government out of the deficit spending game.
