I don't think you get it. He want government's main role in money to be to protect a stable currency. For example, since Nixon, the value of the dollar has declined by 98%. Don't you understand that this is a confiscation of your wealth? The government has no business stealing from you and I to pay for their profligacy. They need to balance their budget and stop stealing through currency debasement and other means.
