Are there any updates on this. Being a musician I am very concerned that this will continue until it has an effect on anything musical that is produced that has the least amount of wood of any sort in it.

For example, some of the greatest violins were and are produced of carefully chosen wood---------pianos are already being displaced with keyboards that don't sound like pianos.

Eventually someone will get the picture that plastic and synthetics require massive amounts of energy to produce. The plastic bags that replaced paper bags now polute the waterways. Whereas, the paper bags simply returned to being a part of the environment as they disintegrate.

The plastic bags were a part of the 'save the trees' movement that has now been proven to be wrong in retrospect.

Impressive that the Guitar company Gibson has lasted over a 100 years.
