Just wondering, if George Bush was at the helm, how would the news organizations report the horrible way Qaddafi was killed? Would they call it a success for President Bush?
And waterboarding is torture?
This same scenario played itself out, decades ago in Iran. Jimmy Carter stood idly by while the islamicists wrested control of Iran, who had been a strategic friend for many years. We now see Egypt controlled by the Islamic fundamentalists that want us all dead, whereas Egypt, and Hosni Mubarek were friendly and stable governments in the middle east. Now Libya was not out friend, but Quaddaffi didn't want to cross us, and was actually useful to our CIA at times in our war against al Queda. It is shocking to see the current administration so welcoming to the revolutions that are taking across the middle east, as not one of them bodes well for our interests in the long term. It is sheer insanity to do the same thing all over again, that we tried with Iran, and to expect a different result. I can hardly wait to see how this experiment in democracy turns out in the next 30 - 40 years. The naivete of our supposed "intellectual" president is breathtaking.
Yes, these are Obama's people, the liberators that our hypocritical media - the democrats' PR firm - hailed as heroes and liberators, freedom fighters. |
