The alternatives are not just CORBA or DCOM. Sorry, but the question is just too wide. It depends what for. The case for OO distributed infrastructures may still be premature, in general (valid, but too early). If you are interested, have a look at the projected CORBA market from independent analysts. It's good to have a solution on this space, if you don't need the cash, and if you can afford the opportunity cost. I can understand the credibility aspect from a previous post. I wish Borland had looked to a cheaper solution (not just in money).
