I firmly believe that corruption has gotten a stranglehold within our financial system. However, I don't see free markets as the solution but rather more regulation. In fact I believe free markets is what helped us get into the mess we are in.

Then were are the prosecution and executives in jail for the systemic fraud? Those executives are still being enriched by Obama's policies. They still run our largest banks. You understand that corruption is the problem and yet you want to continue enabling corruption. You make no sense. A heavily regulated free market would have wiped those corrupt people out and put them in jail. Crony capitalism is what we have now and all it does is efficiently strip the assets from the 99% to give to the top 1%.
