Bush inherited a budget surplus. He couldn't tolerate a budget surplus so he pushed through a series of tax cuts which guaranteed a budget deficit. He wasn't satifisfied so he went ahead and launched a hugely expensive unfunded war in Iraq. Then, as a result of his failure to regulate the financial sector, we had a financial crisis which pushed the country into the greatest recession sinced the 1930s. Now, the Bush supporters want to blame Obama for all of these misktakes.
