Its a question of whats worth your time. Buy a financial PFD around 8%ish or an ETF around 7.5% ish.

Over 10 months thats about $450. Your gonna buy around 300 shares of so which means your downside based on your criteria would be about 2 1/2 points. That would bout most of those pfd's around the year low. Just unlucky. a market disaster would rock your world vs a $450 upside? Is it worth it?

option 2. 300 lottery tickets?

option 3. pay off your credit cards and save the interest you would have paid, then reborrow.

option 4. pay down loan on house. save $700 a month out of income. pay off roof.
