>>Is the SP-1200 the 8" or 10"? What kind of amp for the Paradigm? Pretty pricy too, I might add?<<

The Velodyne SP-1200 is a 12" subwoofer, with an internal 750 watt Class D amp.

I'm running a Denon AVR-2807 for processing and to power the Paradigms. It produces 110 watts per channel of clean power, using discrete amps for each channel. It's a 7.1 channel receiver, but I've only got five speakers. However, the Paradigms have separate inputs for the bass/midrange and treble, so they can be bi-amped, and Denon allows me to assign the unused rear channel amps to the front. So that's how I have it set up.

It's not a high-end setup, but no, it wasn't inexpensive. I put the system together over the course of a few years back when I still had money.
