What David Brooks and other's miss is that the right wing is not sane, let alone intellectually competent to run the country. I have problems with Obama, but really, take a good hard look at those Republican presidential nominee's.

Exactly koan. I have problems with Obama too. But I have a much bigger problem with the rest. These voters think that a person's religion is very important, that the way to remove tax loopholes is through a 9-9-9 which is taxing the poor more and taxing the rich less, that our women should be treated worse than the Arab women in that our women who has been given the womb and a God given right to choose and decide what to do with it should not have those rights etc. etc. What a screwed up primary this is going to be. And with this screwed up party in power in Congress, it does not require a rocket scientist to figure out why the country is screwed up.
