That is _why_ you are hearing about them at every turn. Those "we're not affected" sound bites are spin control. Everyone just spent the last year hailing the wonders of the "new global economy" and now that a fire has broken out, all of a sudden nobody's gonna get burned. Hmmm, how does that work? Don't look for anyone to publicly speculate how damaging things may get until it has already happened. By then, those that "weren't affected" will have worked out new sound bites to entertain you.
