Perhaps, Adam, you can fill in some details. I heard that Drazen has warrants to exercise (is that right?), and that he is driving for the split of Sonoma and Vertel. Also, he is motivated to get the share price of Vertel up. The story goes that the Sonoma sale is under serious discussion and is likely to happen this quarter. Does this match what you are hearing?

I hope that others on this thread can share some of the stories they are hearing in more detail. Maybe together we can develop some leads to corroborate the stories or put the "rumors" into better perspective. For example, the RBOC story I heard a while back may have been confusion on someone's part about the story of HP and Southwestern Bell and the SS7 instrumentation. (AcceSS7 gear can be managed with TMN, BTW.)

I am really interested in the Federal Express story Marci had. I imagine they do some serious networking, my guess is this is a Sonoma access story???

Here is a bonified fact, just for fun: Did you know that IBM's (Tivoli System's) network management tools are based on OpenView? This is mentioned in a review article comparing four network management products in the latest Network Computing magazine. You can read the article at techweb.cmp.com . This is a good rag to watch for info about the field.
