They say the California Mother Lode still has 90% of its gold. Stood right in the middle of it on a school field trip to the gold country. There is a working mine in Columbia State Park, and there is a band of quartz maybe 18 inches wide, with gold in the middle. Miner said it goes there -> (across the river and thru the next hill, for several hundred miles, and they have no idea how deep it runs.
