Excellent points.
How is the modern government any different from anarchy? Seriously.
If we lived in anarchy, the strongest would take over and eventually rule all. The "strongest" would be defined as those who are able to strategically combine their strength and intelligence to amass large groups of followers who would literally fight for the greater good of their group and leader or be killed. In return, the leader would provide for the basic needs of his followers, while the group ensured that he remained in power.
Pure anarchy is no different from elected leftists telling their followers, "You keep me in power and I will take care of you with someone else's money."
Of course some will say, "Well, at least we have a peaceful society with a government, whereas a state of anarchy would be brutal and filled with violence." Is that true? If I refused to pay my taxes, the government would send armed agents to my home to arrest me. If I resisted, I would be beaten and probably killed."
That is no different from an anarchy dictator sending over thugs to rob me of my resources and kill me. -ng-
Modern life is very artificial and unnatural, but because the basic needs of the populace are generally met, most people tolerate the oppression. |
