Hi Barry: I am referring to the takeover of Amati by TXN, (ADSL, VDSL and XDSL technologies), the joint venture between Rockwell and Orckit Technologies to develop HDSL 2 and the Joint venture between Intel and Alcatel to develop very high speed modems. The 56k realm looks to be an interim solution that is likely to turn into a non start - they can't even agree on a standard...at least these newer technologies are headed that way. Once the high speed VHS emerges as the winner, big things will happen. BTW have you noticed how Intels latest ads are preparing the masses for Videocommunication...

Not to mention the MSFT investments in cable, (you are sitting pretty with TCOMA) and Gates's low orbit Sat Network that with or without ultra high speed modems are going to usher in a whole new generation of products catering to the advanced capabilities all this will bring.

PS. I like the links in your profile and you appear to have a fairly solid stable of stocks with good diversification. Your quotes also make a lot of sense!

I don't have the specific url's of the news releases handy but if you need them I will post
