Sarah Silverman was on Rachel Maddow's program. Rachel Madow asked her if Obama would win. She said she hoped so. Then Rachel said: "will you schlep for him"? and she said: "not unless he makes some changes.

And that is the reality. I have asked many of my intelligent liberal dem friends about Obama and to a person they see what we see. Something was wrong with the equation with how he governed as opposed to how he campaigned.

It is easy to see what clowns the Republcians are. Dangerous clowns but still real easy to see for most. Like addding 2 an 2.

But what we have seen on SI over the last year has been an eye opener. I keep asking myself, why do these dems refuse to see what is right in front of their face and get so mad when people point it out?

I can excuse someone for not being able to see something. Nothing they can do about that. But to not be able to face reality or llisten to it when it is clearly presented is depressing.

I am in the midle of my new book on Einstein watching how he worked for so many years to figure out his relativity equation. He would work so hard trying to find an equation that could predict gravity in spacetime. He would tinker here and tinker there and talk constantly with other scientists who all had a part of the answer.

And then how he was so alone opposing Germany in both wars.

I then think how you and I and a few others worked so hard to figure out Obama. Anyone can see the crazy right wing. That is easy. But Obama was tough to figure out. So many saw our attempts to understand him as simple bashing. It was never that. It was trying to figure out a very complicated personality with a few others who also saw the accepted equation like Newtosn was not quite right and had parts of the equation that was right. Bill Maher saw it and so did Matt Damon and all the black pundits, but still people refused to learn?

But all of history has been hard on the people committed to figuring out the truth of things.
