a picture essay opportunity ;0)

i fear the typical short cycle view of many may lead to unnecessary but costly learning

i suspect

(i) the difference between england/usa and china is that the china officialdom / elites know fear given freshness of historical memory, and the authorities / elites in england/usa have long forgotten fear thinking that one can simply keep ruling by making up new laws and are therefore complacent, and

the 1381 episode in england no doubt played its part in giving rise to the eventual start of a 'middle' class in england, enhanced by subsequent outward reach colonizations overseas and such

china at the time google.com (... The economy of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1662) of China was the largest in the world.... were only 27 million taels, and the Ming had 31% of the world's GDP ...) was the greatest duper power on the planet accounting for oodles of global gdp and prospecting / military budgeting - i.e. been there, done that, and not out of the question again, easy peasy

intervening in conflict once and only once not minding its own biz ngm.nationalgeographic.com (...Viewed from the rocky outcropping of Dondra Head at the southernnmost tip of Sri Lanka, the first sighting of the Ming fleet is a massive shadow on the horizon. As the shadow rises, it breaks into a cloud of tautly ribbed sail, aflame in the tropical sun. With relentless determination, the cloud draws ever closer, and in its fiery embrace an enormous city appears. A floating city, like nothing the world has ever seen before. No warning could have prepared officials, soldiers, or the thunderstruck peasants who stand atop Dondra Head for the scene that unfolds below them. Stretched across miles of the Indian Ocean in terrifying majesty is the armada of Zheng He, admiral of the imperial Ming navy. ...)

and soon enough withdrew to within self eventually climaxing just so

(ii) bringing up to date, the middle is rising in china due to officialdom actions driven in great part by fear, and china is reaching out to the world by necessity and grabbing same world by the dangly bits by consequence

whereas england / usa is drawing in on themselves, de-capped and de-capitalized, with the middle shriveling like dangly bits in cold water given approach of k-winter of empire's end per

sequencing of

to this

to this

even as some romantics confuse the end-game with the beginning that was just so

that was actually more like that

(ii) again, per my premise, the diversity in england/usa could well prove a weakness and the homogeneity in china might just prove a strength

my mind cannot help but challenge conventional premises and try to filter truth from facts

only time shall tell, but in the mean time we should watch n brief

the pic you attached is sexy, per what revolutions should look like. i note that there is not a crate of tea anywhere in view.

cheers, tj

p.s. the partial opt out, per observation of others' learning, is
