IBM seems to be the biggest supporter of Java - they have the most programmers working on Java by far. Their goal seems to be Java running not only in the client but in the middleware and server as well to make s/390's, as/400's, rs6000's and PC Servers a comprehensive platform that leverages their traditional strength across the enterprise.
